Behind the why

Raquel has a true passion for people and real estate. Born and raised in Brazil, she moved to the United States 20 years ago to help American farmers understand the market for ethnic crops. She holds a master’s degree in Multicultural Marketing from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and is a certified Portuguese interpreter. Raquel worked at Technology companies such as Oracle and Amazon Web Services for over a decade, and after relocating to Austin, Texas in 2018, Raquel was able to dive deep into the real estate investing market and find a new purpose in serving the community with quality rental homes, alongside her husband Joshua Gossett.

Her passion goes beyond guidance with home buying, selling or leasing. Her joy is in creating meaningful connections and supporting families moving to Austin in a unique way, helping them build a sense of community in a new city, and introducing them to local businesses and fun activities for them to create their best life in Texas. As an Amazonian for life, Raquel begins every engagement listening to her clients’ needs, and working backwards to help them achieve their goals and dreams with real estate. She is a highly detailed, consistent communicator that enables a smooth, pressure free experience.
